Frozen Meat & Poultry Products Recalled For Undeclared Allergens

Red Square Foods Inc. recalled an undetermined amount of frozen meat and poultry products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The products contain eggs, milk, and/or wheat which are not declared on the product label. The recalled products bear establishment number “EST. 18874” or “P-18874” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations....

Several Companies Initiate Recalls For Potential Salmonella and Listeria Contamination!

McCain Foods USA, a national supplier of frozen fruits and vegatables, is recalling all products produced at its Colton, CA facility which affects multiple retailers and manufacturers nationwide for potential Salmonella and Listeria contamination.  National retailers include WalMart, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Hy-Vee, Caito, Ruiz and 7-Eleven which quickly followed with up with recalls for their own....

Antibiotic Resistant Salmonella Outbreak!

As of October 17, 92 people are confirmed infected in a new outbreak of antibiotic-resistant Salmonella traced to raw chicken. FSIS is working with the CDC on the outbreak investigation. Leaders in the chicken industry have been contacted regarding steps they can take to reduce Salmonella contamination. It can take several weeks to confirm Salmonella infections after someone develops symptoms....

More retail locations disclosed in 6.9 million pound JBS ground beef recall

JBS Tolleson sold the recalled meat to large retail food chains and large retail institutions including schools and hospitals nationwide.  In addition, the country's largest foodservice supplier, US Foods, also purchased the recalled beef.
