Technology and the Future of Food Safety

Advancements in technology are happening at a rapid rate, and one area that could benefit is in food safety. A grant was just funded in order to develop an AI-based image detection model that would be able to identify Salmonella bacteria before any contaminated food made it into the supply. Currently the model is beeing worked with onions, and the goal would be to detect bacterial growth in its early stages.

A food safety testing model backed by advanced technology is potentially revolutionary in how we can keep ourselves as safe as possible.
