Black Tea Punch
This recipe comes from our instructor Rachel, and it’s perfect for those big gatherings that many of us have this time of year! The original recipe makes “50 punch cup servings,” but it’s so delicious that it does not last long. Black Tea Punch is non-alcoholic, and super refreshing as is…but if you’re looking for a low alcohol big-batch drink to have on hand, we’ve included that variation for you, too!
Ingredients
1 ¼ cups water
1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup lemon juice
2 cups orange juice
1 cup very strong black tea
2 cups pineapple juice
1 to 2 quarts ginger ale (amount per personal taste)
Optional: 2 cups dark rum*
- In a pot, heat the sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is melted. Let the syrup cool.
- In a punch bowl, combine: syrup, lemon juice, orange juice, black tea, and pineapple juice. (If using rum, add it here). Chill in the fridge until ready to use.
- Last minute, add the ginger ale to taste, and enjoy!
*When consuming alcohol, please drink responsibly. Happy Holidays!
