The recalled beef products were shipped nationwide and the outbreak currently involves over 16 states with 57 reported Salmonella illnesses. The recalled products bear establishment number “EST. 267” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The investigation is ongoing but JBS Tolleson Inc has been identified as the common supplier.
FSIS is concerned that some of the beef products may be frozen in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them and the products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
